Raised Therapy Garden
At our Wellness Center in St. Clair Shores, MI we have a raised therapy garden where our wig recipients & families grow herbs & vegetables to learn about the importance of nutrition in a farm-to-table concept.
We plant throughout the Spring, Summer and Fall months. Everything we grow is cooked in our healthy meal planning cooking classes with our pediatric oncology dietician Mr. Damien and our kids. (Below are samples of our zucchini boats and garden salad - yum!)
There is a picnic area for garden tea parties, BBQs and other special occasions. We have decorated it with rocks painted in our art therapy classes.
We also have a memorial flower garden for our MW4K Angels - children who have gained their wings. Each child leaves an imprint on our hearts forever.
