Dear Wig Recipients & Families: Variety the Children's Charity Detroit supports Maggie's Wigs 4 Kids of Michigan. They are hosting a Variety Bikes for Kids event which will be held on Thursday, June 9th at Jimmy John’s Field in Utica, MI.
Each year, they work with nonprofits nominating children to receive a new bicycle, helmet and lock. The children selected to attend the event can be accompanied by one parent/guardian and are treated to a baseball game, food & beverages and distribution of bikes which will take place at the end of the game.
The bicycles are tailored to each child’s size/gender and are labeled with their name on the bike (IMPORTANT: no substitutions can be made that evening). We know some of our kids are able to attend outdoor activities, including Tiger Games, so Variety would love to include some of our wig recipients at this event.
We have a limited number of spaces available. Please let us know if you are interested in receiving the paperwork to nominate your child or their sibling to receive a new bicycle by emailing maggie@wigs4kids.org and we will be in touch.
