Hospitals Partnering with Maggie's Wigs 4 Kids of Michigan

Going into the new year, we're grateful through God's grace that we can continue serving the children and families of Michigan. We work with all 8 hospitals that provide pediatric oncology in the state, and we'd like to thank the healthcare providers at every level, who help our children get well. They take care of our wig recipients' physical wellbeing and we help them with the appearance-related side effects of treatment to heal emotionally, socially & psychologically. 

We do our community outreach to the hospitals at the beginning of the year with the current status of programming we offer. We assess, evaluate and adjust our services to better serve their population and the rest of the children who rely on us for hope & healing. 

Over 50% of our kids come from the hospital system and we utilize Zoom with Sparrow to reach them right in their hospital beds. Nurse navigator Cindy Meteyer assists us in measuring the children's head sizes via Zoom so we can order their wigs and ship them directly to the families. Our goal in 2025 is to work with all of the hospitals this way!
