It is amazing the stories we receive in the mail with hair donations from caring families who are touched by the work we do. Leslie, Grady’s mom writes: “Grady is 3 years old, and this was his first haircut. His uncle Tommy was diagnosed with multiple myeloma a few months after he was born and then Grady’s father Jeremy was hit with large, diffused B-cell lymphoma two years later. Both Uncle Tommy and Jeremy lost their hair during treatment, so we knew exactly what we were going to do with Grady’s hair when we cut it. He’s been called a girl for his long hair so much it’s a shame, yet we know his hair is going to a good cause.” Grady’s kind donation is a great example of how our program is all about kids helping kids!
